Aaron is from South Fork, a little town in South
Central Colorado. Aaron attended Adams State College in Alamosa,
CO and received a B.S. in Biology and a B.S. in Chemistry.
In the Burrows group Aaron is studying catechol adducts to deoxyribonucleosides.
The idea is to better understand small-molecule adducts to DNA
that may undergo further structural rearrangement. Catechols are
interesting reaction partners with G and OG since they have been
known to redox cycle and thereby generate reactive oxygen species
that can further cause damage.
Aaron enjoys hiking and running when not at the
bench....
